UPDATE: I should have read more closely ... Virginia Tech has asked them to stop selling. I am sure its a licensing issue and the University just wants to make sure that the money will actually go to the fund. Here's hoping the University can work things out with Erin and Christopher.

Kudos go out to two students from Christopher Newport University for creating this fund raiser for the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund. If you do not want to purchase a bracelet, please consider donating using the ChipIn widget on the right side of this page or just go to the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund website for other ways to donate.
From the site ... Bands For VT Memorial Fund
Erin Steuber, the creator of VT donation wristbands, wanted to create a way to show the amount of support, and how many people were truly affected by the VT tragedy at CNU. Just hoping to raise money locally, the project was launched, and the buzz about the bracelets spread like wildfire.Again, thanks so much and please keep those who were affected by the tragedy in your thoughts or prayers.
Before long a group was started on Facebook® which allowed for the donation project to begin gaining support nation wide. Now, teaming up with a fellow student, Christopher Book, they have both decided to create this website in order to make bracelet purchases available to schools, and individuals all over the country. The bracelets, like the LiveSTRONG® bracelets, are made of 100% silicon.
They are marbleized (orange and maroon) and have the saying "Today we are all Hokies," along with the date April 16th, 2007. For every bracelet sold, 100% of the net revenue is then donated to the Virginia Tech Memorial Fund
